Product Description
Magnet Zapper with 4 Slugs
The magnetizer is designed to restore the operability of electric motors with stators on ferrite magnets by means of their pulsed magnetization in the inductor of the device. The magnetizing current in the inductor coil is created by the capacitor bank of the device, which is charged from the AC network with a voltage of 220 or 110 V with a frequency of 50 or 60 Hz.
Technical data of the magnetizer:
- dimensions of the working area of the inductor 28 mm x 18 mm x 24 mm (1.102" x .709" x .945")
- the direction of the magnetizing field is axial from top to bottom (inside the inductor)
- the amplitude of magnetic induction in the working area of the inductor is not less than 1.25 T
- the duration of the magnetization process is not more than 0.01 s
- power supply - AC 110 or 220 V with a frequency of 50 or 60 Hz
- ready to work - immediately after switching on
- average power consumption does not exceed 15 W
- the time of full charge of the capacitor bank of the magnetizer does not exceed 15 s at a supply voltage of 220 V and 60 s at a supply voltage of 110 V
- the performance of the magnetizer is at least 30 magnetization cycles per hour
- overall dimensions of the magnetizer are not more than 200 mm x 120 mm x 80 mm (7.874" x 4.724" x 3.150") (excluding the power cable and controls)
- the mass of the magnetizer is not more than 1.2 kg (2.645 lb)
The magnetizer is made in the form of a single device in the case. On the back panel there is an input of a power cable «220/110 V 50 HZ», a fuse «3 A» and an operating voltage switch «220 V-110 V». On the front panel there is a «CHARGE-DISCHARGE» operating mode switch, a «CHARGE» capacitor bank charge indicator and a button «DISCHARGE» for creating an impulse. On the upper panel there is a magnetizing inductor with a lid that opens during loading of the magnetized system (the «OPEN» position) and closes during the magnetization procedure (the «CLOSE» position). The direction of the magnetizing field is from top to bottom (the «+» sign).
Stators of electric motors are magnetized without rotors and with removed flanges. To increase the reliability of magnetization, a steel cylinder can be inserted inside the stator (comes with 4 variations: 13,4 mm (.527"), 13,6 mm (.535"), 14,0 mm (.551"), 14,5 mm (.571")), the diameter of which is approximately equal to the diameter of the rotor, and the length is the length of the stator without flanges (imitation of the rotor).
The magnetizer is connected to the AC mains with a voltage of 220 or 110 V with a frequency of 50 or 60 Hz by means of a mains cable with a plug. Depending on the mains voltage, the switch «220 V - 110 V» is moved to the appropriate position.
Open the cover of the inductor (position «OPEN»). The stator of the motor with the removed flanges is placed in the magnetization zone of the inductor in a given orientation (the direction of the magnetizing field from top to bottom) and closed with a lid (the «CLOSE» position). The «CHARGE-DISCHARGE» switch is switched to the «CHARGE» position. The charging time does not exceed 15 s at a supply voltage of 220 V and 60 s at a supply voltage of 110 V. When the capacitor bank of the device is charged to the desired level, the «CHARGE» indicator lights up. After that, the «CHARGE-DISCHARGE» switch is switched to the «DISCHARGE» position, a single press on the «DISCHARGE» button is immediately performed, and the magnetization process takes place. The magnetization time does not exceed 0.01 s. Open the cover of the inductor and take out the magnetized stator of the electric motor. If necessary, the magnetization procedure can be repeated.
At the end of the work, disconnect the device from the AC power line.
